I'm not sure but judging from the previous editions of the Kaisafest in Helsinki it is not exactely an open air gig but it is under a tent... That means it can happen even if it's raining... I usually don't travel to open air gig but if it's not so I'll think about it... I never saw Nina Hagen live and I guess it could be very fun to see Nina Hagen and Grace Jones the same night!!!

Does anyone has any info about Kaisafest?

I have seen Nina Hagen live four times...well, I am from Germany, there you go:))
..and she is a great performer, and big fun! Nina and Grace on one evening could be special, really...but as far as I know, Kaisafest is an open air, tented or not. Means too many people gathering at one spot... I am too old for that:)

I was recently to a Courtney Love gig that was sold out in a not too big hall... full of joung kids screaming and moving...

Ten years ago I would have loved it... right now I liked it but at the same time I felt like hating people too close to me pushing and screaming and sweting At one point I really whished I was on the balcony and not near the stage

I think I'm getting really old: my favourite memories of gigs are the ones in Montecarlo Sporting Club, where you have dinner and then you watch the show from the table I saw Miss Grace Jones too in Montecarlo

I was tempted to go see Nina Hagen cause I've never seen her live but I want to see her out of Germany so I've got more chance to hear the songs she sings in english Unfurtunately I can't understand a word of german!

Ah yes, it is indeed going to be a giant tent, with bars and restaurants both inside and outside.

Since neither of the headliners are exactly huge (meaning MEGA) crowd pullers in Finland, it seems the organizers are counting heavily on VIP package tickets for companies. Granted, last year's amazing Grace show at the ultra-hip Flow Festival proved out to be quite a big hit with the youngsters as well.

And speaking of Nina; which kind of shows does she do these days? The old great stuff, or the 40's big band pastiche of her latest records? I haven't seen her in 26 years!
